Simply Blessed Cakes (SBC) is a small business in West Philadelphia that provides customers with beautifully sculpted, delicious, quality cakes and cupcakes. Our cakes not only look beautiful, but they are delectable as well! We pride ourselves in our moist butter cakes and light, feathery “not too sweet“ buttercream icing. Our recipe is made from high quality products. We also try offer our customers a different perspective on fondant. We provide a homemade, hand kneaded, fluffy fondant that melts in your mouth. Every creative masterpiece is constructed with care and the taste is impeccable. Another thing that sets us apart is our attention to detail. This also earned us a spot on The Food Network.
SBC started when the owner had a bake sale with the goal of teaching her children compassion. The idea was to take the money earned from the bake sale and donate it to a local hospital. This idea sparked a passion in Deb that ultimately led to her teaching herself how to make “Simply Blessed” edible art. Later in her journey she was able to accomplish her goal and teamed up with several event planners, cookie artist, & cake artists and went to shelters through out the city that she stayed at when she was younger. They celebrated Halloween, thanksgiving giving and Christmas with them by decorating, playing games and giving gifts.
